Well, here it is... here are all the details of what will soon be our new house!! We are building in a little town about 20 miles south of us now called Waxahachie. It's a lot like Logan, only not nearly as isolated, so it's perfect for us! We are SO EXCITED for this house!! It's scheduled to be done in mid June. Below are pictures of a house that is the same floorplan. Our colors will be different then this house but you'll get the idea... Here is also the link to the floor plan on the builder's web site, from that link you can read more about our builder if you'd like.

This is from the entry way looking in (obviously) Those are 2 bedrooms, Mariska's will be the furthest one down the hall, which is just across from the bathroom. The door to the 4th bedroom is some what behind you to the left.
A close up of the lot.
That's it!! We'll keep having more posts as they start to make progress!!

Hope you're moved in the next time I'm going through Texas! I'm very happy for you! It's pretty exciting.
Now I'm the jealous one! You'll have your own yard!
Your master reminds me of a house the house my family & I lived in Missouri. 3br 2car garage, 1 acre lot for $85k. Here in Utah you couldn't even get a 1br for that price practically!
Anyhoot I LOVE vaulted ceilings don't you?!!
Thats so nice for you all! Perfect cuz your next little one can have their own bedroom too.
So what ARE your colors gonna be? How exciting!!
IM so Jealous. I didnt think yall we planning on staying in Texas long enough to get a house, But COngrats!
We weren't planning on buying until we realized how horrible the crime was, and we decided to move... but all the nicer apartments with gates and such are either about $1200 a month or reserved for low income people and Brent and I aren't allowed to live there. So we looked at renting a house, but again anything decent would have been $1000 bucks a month. At that point we thought that even if we didn't MAKE money if we sold the house to move back to Utah, at least we'd get SOMETHING back, versus rent, which if we rented for another 5 years at $900 a month, we'd have thrown away $54,000 bucks, this way we'll at least get some of that back. So we looked around and came across this and LOVE IT!!! We've decided that instead on having an attitude of "we've gotta get out of here ASAP", to actually make a home for ourselves focus on our family and try to get back to Utah on Heavenly Fathers time table... ever since, we've been much happier and have this very nice underlying feeling of peace. It's so great that Mariska will learn to ride a bike in our neighborhood versus a parking lot!!!
Oh, and we don't know just what our colors will be, we don't know our choices yet!! We have our appointment at the design center on the 29th!!!
Congratulations! What a great event for you guys - a smart move for sure! Good Luck and keep us up to date on the building!
I love the Kitchen! Are you also going for the fireplace and the covered patio, like the options in the blueprints show? Im so happy for your Family. What a blessing
Oh no... the only upgrades we'll do are outside lights on the side of the garage and maybe an over the range microwave, depending on how expensive the lights are... And I hate fireplaces, particularly in TEXAS! People here love them though, I don't get it.
