Amy had a TAG on her blog and I wanted to too...
Ten Years ago... February 1998
I was a JR in high school. Had my driver's lisence about 6 months. I was also working as a "server" at our local IHOP. I was a terrible waitress but the money was good anyway.
Things On My "To Do" list...
1) Since it's not raining, pack things up and walk Mariska to the library for the preschool story time and just pray it isn't raining on our way home!
2) do the dishes and clean the kitchen
3) sew some holes in a few clothes, they've been on the desk for weeks.
4) Clean and dust the bedroom
5) Get things together and get to the temple tonight
6) oh yeah and lose 30 more pounds
7) stop eating junk food, I'm a struggling addict, sounds rediculous, but I'm not kidding
Some things I would do if I suddenly became a millionare...
1)Pay for the new house in cash, possibly move to utah and rent it out cheap to a good family
2) Pay off any and all debt
3) Get Brent his Master's Degree
4) Get my education
5) new couches and living room furniture
5) new kitchen table set
6) bedroom furniture for mariska
7) new office furniture for our new office
8) new baby furniture for a nursery, for when the time comes, later
9) Get a brand new Toyota Sienna!!
10) And get Brent a new Toyota Tacoma
11) Get laser hair removal for my pits and legs
12) create a really awesome home gym in our garage, or big room in a big new house in utah
13) Put lots of money to the Church programs like humanitarian and education
14) Take an Alaskan Cruise with Brent
3 Bad habbits of mine are...
1) popping my knuckles
2) picking at my nails and the skin around them
3) spending too much time on the computer!
5 places I've lived... besides Logan and Texas, those are obvious
1) Provo, UT... pretty much hated it except for my roommates. We had some really great times! We had too much fun... but I hated the rush for everyone to get married. I hated coming home and finding a "Utah Valley Brides" magazine on every doorstep. And I hated when girls would brag about how many times they'd been engaged.
2) Crystal Lake, IL... I lived there for 3 years, 10th grade through graduation. I loved it there. I had some really great friends and I think I had a much better high school experience there then I would have in CA
3) Orange County, CA... I lived here between the ages of 8 and 15. This was a stressfull place to live. Even though this is where Maxine and I met and became great friends, there was a lot of superficial crap to put up with and it wasn't really for me. A lot of my friends cared way too much about clothes, fashion and the latest trends and dating and I found it all pretty dumb. But I still have a lot of good memories, mostly because of Maxine.
4) Plano, TX... I was 3 to 8 years old. Don't rememeber much except our house and my school. I remember our whole street had the big brick mail boxes and Sarah and I would ride our bikes around and pretend they were drive throughs, like at the bank.
5) New Jersey... was born here and lived there until age 3. I seriously don't remember anything except a few things that happened in the house. Mostly I remember when we were moving and everything was being boxed up. Joni comes running upstairs from the basement and tells me there is something really cool down there and I have to come see right away, turns and runs back down as fast as she can. So I go down and as it turns out all my brothers and sisters are hiding behind shelves and boxes and say my name in the scariest voices they could come up with. It wasn't much fun for me.
5 Jobs I've had...
1) When I was 11 I started working twice a week as a babysitter for a family who's mother gave sewing lessons. Maxine and I had this job for about 4 years.
2) My first "real" job was at Burger King. I was 15 and it was actually a really fun job.
3) Then I waitressed at IHOP... I wasn't good at it, but on a "good night" I could come home with over 80 bucks, not bad for 5-7 hours of work. In high school anyway
4) Then I was a customer service person/cashier at Fannie May. It's a fabulous chocolate/candy store in IL. This was a very easy and fun job. On slow nights I could get some home work done and have maybe 2 or 3 customers. It was also a huge mistake because I could eat all the chocolate I wanted... believe it or not I would down a good 1/4 pound to 1 whole pound of chocolate a night and gained a good 30 pounds. Haven't gotten it off since. Looking back I should have continued working at IHOP, on my feet and no time to sit around eating, oh well, nothing I can do to go back and change it!
5) Then I worked customer service for Sears, answering phones and setting appointments for people to get their appliances repaired. I didn't like this job much because I'm not good with confrontation, not really compatible with a job where people call you up and scream at you!
Some things people don't know about me...
I seriously don't think there is anything! I am such an open book. Everyone knows about my struggle with weight and food, how pointless I feel fashion and being really feminine is, and all about my regrets and goals. I guess I'm going to leave this section open to questions... if there is something anyone doesn't feel they know about me and would like to, you're free to ask in the comments!

Please don't tell me that I did that to you! If so, I was an idiot - sorry. I think the drive-through thing is funny, though!
I'm not sure if you were in on it or not! I don't remember the specifics, just being scared!
Man, we were dorks. But we had so much fun. we also had races to see who could get to the top of the mailboxes first. Lots of fun. Good times.
What's this "were" business? Erika still is a dork.
:D
That cake looks really good. My mouth is watering.
that cake is amazing! I am a dork... I think only a dork can get so excited about looking at spit through a tube
Whay are you doing witha tube of spit?
I know what you mean. I thought it was so cool to see that, but Mike just thought it was gross and would never look at it.
