Mother's Day was great! In the morning Brent let me sleep in a bit and then made me a yummy "egg mcmuffin" for breakfast. At church Mariska "sang" the songs with the Primary. It mostly consisted of her "drumming" on the wall. Before they were to sing she was getting a little restless in the meeting and I told her that after Sister Carbone talks then she'll get to go up and sing songs with the primary. This was a mistake. After they sang the songs and everyone else was going back to their seats, she thought it was her turn to use the microphone, just like Sister Carbone. Brother Thomas, who was conducting the meeting stood to talk again and she ran away to the other side of the stand/stage, where she saw me coming to get her. This of course made her turn and run away to the other side where our 2nd councelor tried stopping her. This of course turned into her dropping to the floor and going limp into dead weight. I had to walk across and pick her up to carry her off. The meeting went on and within the first few minutes of the next speakers talk I had to get up to take Brynley out. Mariska of course got out of our row and took off for the stand again. Brent ran after her and grabbed her just before she reached the steps. The whole time both of us were chasing her she was just giggling at us. I felt terrible for the meeting being interupted but everyone else said it was cute and added to the spirit of Mother's Day. I sure hope so!After church our friends Scott and Mary came over for dinner. Mary is wonderful and brought me a bunch of awesome chocolate covered strawberries! They are huge! I had my first on this morning at 1:00 AM during Brynley's first feeding. It was so nice! Thank you Mary!Mariska said the prayer at dinner time and it was so cute... I was helping her with what to say and I said, "we're thankful Scott and Mary could come eat." and she said, "thank you Scott and Mary could come for a playdate." Adorable. Then we got her ready for bed and she sang them the ABC's and went to bed. It was a really good night. Here are some pictures. I think Brynley is still a little young for this bath chair, but it was fun for Mariska anyway. I'm not sure why these pictures are fuzzy, I'll have to ask Brent, but they shouldn't be, it's a brand new camera.Mariska howls all day long. You can imagine how fun that is.

So cute! It sounds like Brynley is trying to talk back to Mariska. Glad you had a great mommy's day!
I LOVE Brynley's expressions! And that's a great mother's day story. I'm sure it was completely embarrassing at the time, but I'm positive no one cared except to think it was cute. Mariska's expressions just remind me SO much of you when you were younger - it's fun to see!
Good Job at figuring out how to Swing Mariska! Yummy food-hope you had a lovely Mothers day all-in-all! Brynley is looking more & more pretty & petite-looking & feminine in her mannerism's and such. Love the video's!
