Today

I had my 38 week appointment today. NOTHING to report. Nothing is moving along at all. So we're home now and getting everything ready for Mariska's party tomorrow! She's so excited!! We are too, although I know when it's over time will come to a complete stand still because I'll have nothing else to focus on but Brynley coming out! I'll post pictures of her party next Thursday after my 39 week appointment, hopefully by then I'll have something to report!

Dang! I was really hoping this was a post saying you were headed to the hospital. I hope she comes really soon! I'm so excited for you guys! Good luck. :)

How 'bout picking up a new hobby while you wait? It'll help pass the time a little when you're not busy chasing after Mariska. Speaking of chasing, do some more walking around - that should help things along a bit.

The issue is that hobbies cost money. I am starting the project of organizing and labeling all of our pictures, so that should take some time. And walking makes me hurt!! Not to be graphic but my crotch is killing me! I sure hope things move along this week, we're aiming for the 13th thru the 16th!

Crotch pain is debilitating.

You're so close! Hang in there.

It's so bad, I just went in my room and BAWLED after having to get up off the floor yesterday. And now I have to wake Brent up to help me out of bed if I need to go to the bathroom in the night, which I do, about 3-4 times. He's so nice about it though! I feel so lame!
It is so close!! I woke up today and totally realized how little time I have left! It's so exciting! And I have found several projects I am going to do to pass the time this week. Plus I have a new Charlie Bone book to read. So I'm a lot more "cheery" now, because I have plenty to fill the week and then BAM, I'm there! YAY!

I hope your delivery goes well. I wouldn't wish a c-section on anyone. Although my Dr. said most women tell him its 50/50 when it comes to c-section verses "regular" delivery (epidural or not). I know you said Mariska's birth was so hard regular, so I guess it all depends.

Isn't it ironic that you don't get sleep BEFORE she's born (cuz of Pregnancy pains) & then you don't get very much sleep AFTER she's born (cuz of feedings & diapers changes & crying). OH geeze...Mother Nature has an ironic way of letting the Mom Heal well after this big ordeal.

The quote in my Dr's office says:

"Babies are natures way of showing people what the world looks like at 2:00 in the morning." ;)

The unfair part about having two kids is not enough TIME to play, cuddle, heal, sleep, & not being able to kiss the "owie's" cuz your busy with the baby. Those are my thoughts. :)
