I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Our week was full of projects, mostly for Brent. He made some great compost bins for the garden, put plywood down through the attic, organized the garage and set up the Christmas tree and put lights up on the house. I spent most of the week resting. I also got some things done in preparation for Brynley's arrival. Her room is all set up and ready to go. Thanksgiving was nice, Brent did everything. He made his great apple pie, a pumpkin pie and the whole dinner. Our turkey was really good, they always turn out good when he makes them.
I'm not sure why, but I really had my hopes up that Brynley would be born this last weekend after Thanksgiving. Maybe just because I hit 37 weeks and am now deemed "full term", my brain just expected "okay she can come out now"... so obviously that didn't happen. And now I'm more irritated then before. I know it sounds so stupid! I'm just so eager to not be pregnant! I'm so excited to lay on my stomach and not have to sit to put my pants on or have Brent tie my shoes! I also just can't wait to see what she looks like!
So now I'm all conflicted between wanting her to come out already and NOT wanting her to come out so that we don't have to postpone Mariska's birthday party this Saturday. I'd hate to push that back a week, mainly because Mariska is so excited for it, but I also want it over with. That sounds terrible, I know. It's going to be a short party.
That's about it for here. My next appointment is Friday (12/5) and then Mariska's party is Saturday. I'll post some pictures on Friday after my appointment.

Some day, maybe a few years from now, you will miss being pregnant. Even if only for a moment. Relish this time. I know it can be hard, but what a blessing it is to be carrying Brynley or however you spell it.
Oh, yeah...good luck on the laying on your stomach thing - especially if you nurse her! Keep us updated!
So will Brent be able to stay home for a bit & help you & Mariska? Wish I could help....I'm excited our girls will be so close in age!
I couldn't lay on my stomach even longer after the c-setion! I couldn't wait either.
We couldn't wait to see what Jessa looked like since we never got a 3-d picture of her like we did with Nathan Jr. (since insurance covered the $ cost that time).
Hope she comes soon when its best for both of you!
Wouldn't it have sucked to be a pregnant pioneer? I mean, you wouldn't know FOR SURE when you were due. You wouldn't know if the kid was girl or boy. And then having to cross the country on top of all the crotch, stomach, foot, hip, and back pain...I couldn't have hacked it.
Me either, thank goodness for modern medicine and technology!
Brent has the 20th thru the 3rd off for Christmas break, so he'll be around to help! So nice.
We didn't get a 3d picture of Brynley either, but did with Mariska. I wish we could have for both.
