Each Christmas Eve we open new tree ornaments. This year Brent and I got a family photo ornament. We got Mariska a Curious George one, she loves George, not only the books and cartoon, but her own George stuffed animal she can't sleep without. Brynley hasn't really had any phases or interests yet, so she got a teddy bear with a giant cookie in the shape of a 2. Once it was out of the box she actually tried to eat the cookie! It was cute. At the rate she's going so far, it's looking like next year will be a Barney ornament, she watches the same 2 Barney videos over and over again through the day.
The big hit with both of the girls this year is the ZhuZhu pet hamsters we got them. They are just little hamsters that go around in different directions. The girls just turn them on and follow them around the kitchen for a long time.
It was really hard to get good pictures of the girls opening their gifts, they kept moving around! But here is what we did end up with... this decoration is supposed to say "Christmas", but not so much with kids in the house!

This picture cracks us up. As Brent walked by Brynley's room he thought she was laying there dead... This was how Brynley's pj's landed on the floor and it totally looks like some kid is passed out under the shelf. A little 'one too many"!

That would have scared me to death to see 'her' laying like that. Poor Brent.
The pic of the two girls hopping on a matt - they look so close in height!
Merry Christmas!!
Does Mariska still enjoy her new headbanz game?
Um, I saw that picture of the pj's before I finished reading your description and thought the exact same thing! Well, not so much the laying dead part, but it definitely looks like she was hiding her head in the cabinet. Anyway, Merry Christmas!!
We're playing the Headbanz game later today. It's for 7+ so she might have to grow into it.
They are really close in height! Mariska is the 50% for height and Brynley is 95th%... she goes to Mariska's jawline!!
Earlier in the day Brent said, "Brynley's pajamas look like a dead kick laying on the floor." And I thought he meant just in general the "feety" pjs look like maybe a chalk outline. It wasn't until later that I went in to put some clothes away and saw them. I laughed so hard my face hurt!!
I hope everyone's Christmas was great!!
I love all your blog posts!! We have the same play kitchen I see in the pictures. I'm glad you had a good Christmas!! Miss ya!
