What to do?

We are so tired. Brynley has started waking up almost every hour in the night, for her binky. I both love and hate that little bit of plastic and rubber. After her first feeding of the night (still around 12-2) she goes down and then wakes up for her binky about every hour. She's barely 3 months old so we don't know what to do. Take it away 'cold turkey' and only go in to soothe her every 10 minutes or so?? Just go with it, she'll grow out of it? We are so tired and are just at the end of our ropes. Please comment... and advice is welcome!

Your poll wouldn't let me vote for some reason:) But, I would say to take it away and go into soothe her without the binky. It's easy to say because I'm not the one that will be getting up with her but she needs to self soothe but I don't know the best way to help her with that. I hope you find a way to help her comfort herself and a way for you to keep your sanity!! Call me anytime:)

Last night was the best night we've had all week! She went down at 10, woke up to eat at 3:45... I woke up myself at 3:30 and went to check that she was still alive! I'm terrified of SIDS... anyway, after she ate she kept freaking out, and so I tried feeding her more... total she had 7 ounces! Then she was down for a while. Then came the all too familiar binky whines. Brent and I both layed there waiting for the other to go and we both held out long enough that she actually went back to sleep herself. That happened twice and she ended up sleeping until 8:30!! It was unbelievable!

I would get rid of the binky and see if she'll attach herself to a blankie or something. We got rid of it for Kamden and fought it with Kinsee and I'd much rather get rid of it. Good luck.

I know someone that used medical tape to attach the pacifier to the kid's mouth.

Don't get mad at me. I didn't do it.

It did solve their problem.
